This year's Green Day was a whole day of activities at Hooper's Field and Warneage Woods.
All the classes (except Acorn) spent the whole day on the site, Reception took part in the afternoon.
At the Hooper's Field Sports area the children played rounders, improved their cricket and tennis skills and Year 1 and 5 were introduced to bowls.
Classes also used natural materials to make 3D art creations, went exploring in the woods (using all their senses to enjoy the space around them) and some classes were able to do pond dipping - the children even found some newts.
The weather was absolutely perfect for the day and the children really engaged in all the activities, to get the most out of the day.
We'll have some more pictures, particularly of the art creations, when we've had time to collate them.
Special thanks must go to Wanborough Tennis Club for making their facilities available, Wanborough Bowls Club for the coaching, Wanborough Parish Council for the use of the sports pavilion and to the Woodland Trust for their work creating the wonderful woodland spaces.
