The last day of term is always one of those 'Happy/Sad' days.
Happy, because we can look forward to summer holiday and relaxing with family and friends. Sad, because we say good-bye to staff and pupils we have got know so well.
This year, two members of the staff team are moving on to new places and we wish the all the best.
Mrs Hyatt, who has been with Year 4 this year, is moving to a new role at Hungerford Primary School. She will still keep her connection with Wanborough school, as her children are pupils here.
Sara Peixoto (Miss P to the children) has been with the school for a few years, first as an MDSA and more recently working with Mrs Carter in the kitchen. She's moving to new opportunities on the Isle of Wight.
And, of course, it's 'Goodbye' to Year 6. A group who have really shown their very best qualities this year, in the hard academic work, in the challenges and team work of the trip to France and in sports and fun activities. We wish you all the best in your new school, we know you'll continue to be successful there.
Finally, Mr Drury was possibly the luckiest man in Swindon. On another scorching hot day, he had wet sponges thrown at him (for a small donation).
Illness meant that he was not able to do this at the school fete, but the children were only too happy oblige at break time and after school.
