On Tuesday 6th November we attended our Remembrance Service at St Andrew's Church.
As the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1, which ended at the 11th hour on the 11th Day of 11th Month 1918, this year's remembrance is particularly poignant.
At the service, we remembered not just those who have fallen in wars, but those who defend our life and freedoms everyday in many public services.
We heard prayers read by some Year 5 pupils and two very special poems, read by Year 6 pupils.
Two children also helped Rev. Bill O'Connell lay a wreath of poppies on the memorial to people from the village who died in the two World Wars.
Thank you to all who attended and helped us in this act of remembrance.
