June 20th was Sports Day 2018.
The weather was just right for sport: dry apart from a few spots of rain in the afternoon and not too hot
Reception / Key Stage 1
In the morning, Reception and Key Stage 1 were competing for their houses, but their total scores weren't revealed, as they were carried over to be added to the KS2 points in the afternoon.
After the children had competed, there was time for some pre-school races and some keenly fought Mums' and Dads' Egg and Spoon Races.
Key Stage 2In the afternoon it was KS2's turn to compete in their houses for the House Sports cup.
The cooler weather this year meant that we could have the full programme including the Long Races.
The points totals from the Reception / KS1 runs were added in at the end and once more, like last year, they changed the final positions.
All houses competed enthusiastically and all houses had outstanding individual performances, so congratulations to everyone for competing in such a good spirit!
