Weston Super Mare Trip:
On Thursday 19th April Conker Class visited Weston Super Mare.
It was a beautiful sunny day and the tide was in when we arrived (always a bonus at Weston!).
We walked to the end of the pier for snack, then had our presentation about the pier and the history of seaside holidays.
We saw how the transport to Weston has changed and also how the clothes worn by people at the seaside have changed.
Somethings don't change, like souvenirs and deck chairs!
After our presentation we had a quick game of 'crab, crab, lobster' until it was time for lunch on the pier.
Finally we held a sandcastle building competition on the beach.
By this time the tide had gone out a very long way and as the water evaporated, a mist started to blow across the beach.
We were happy to get back on the coach and return to Wanborough.
