Conker Class - Term 5

This week (WC 27.04), we were finding the UK across a range of resources. For topic, we are learning all about the UK, so we discussed what the UK looks like, it's flag, the countries it is made up of and any cities we know of in the UK. The children then spent some time looking at aerial images, maps, globes and atlases to see the UK in various formats.

Y1 - The UK

This term, Conker class have been exploring Pilates in PE! They have enjoyed learning and refining moves such as 'Spine Twist', 'Cat/Cow Stretch' and 'The Hundred'. We have been putting these moves together in a jungle-themed sequence, complete with singing and sound effects!

 Conker class have hugely enjoyed their first week of maths, looking at measuring. We began by measuring length using objects such as cubes and paperclips, before moving on to measuring length in centimetres. We then ended the week by exploring mass using the balance bucket scales.
