Willow Class - Term 5

 

W/C 11.05.26 - This week, the children have been busy combining their creativity and writing skills. In English, they began writing exciting non-chronological reports about Ancient Greek mythical creatures, using ambitious vocabulary and interesting facts. In Art, the children applied all the clay techniques they have learnt over the past few weeks to design and create their own Ancient Greek-inspired pots. The finished pieces looked fantastic!

W/C 04.05.26 - The children have worked incredibly hard this week! In English, they explored how to change sentences into the present perfect tense and impressed us with their growing confidence. In Art, the class continued developing their clay skills by practising the coil and pinch techniques, showing fantastic creativity and perseverance.

 

W/C 27.04.26 - This week has been full of creativity and movement! In Art, the children enjoyed exploring score-and-soak techniques using clay and showed great enthusiasm while experimenting with different ideas. In French, the class learnt a range of yoga phrases before working together to create and perform their very own yoga routines.

W/C 20.4.26 - This week, the children have thoroughly enjoyed diving into the world of Ancient Greek gods and goddesses. They have explored non-chronological reports, identifying key features and organising their ideas into clear sections with their own headings. The children have also shown great creativity when editing sentences, experimenting with a range of exciting sentence openers. In maths, the children have been developing their understanding of tenths and decimal places, building confidence in this important area. In Geography, they have investigated the physical and human features of London and Athens, making thoughtful comparisons between the two cities.

W/C  13.4.26 - This week in science, the children have enjoyed exploring the human digestive system through hands-on activities. In PE, they developed their ball control skills in tennis and took part in a session with Swindon Town FC. In English, the children have been learning about non-chronological reports and thoroughly enjoyed researching Ancient Greek gods and goddesses as part of our new topic for the term.

Year 4 T5 WK1

W/C  13.4.26 - This week in science, the children have enjoyed exploring the human digestive system through hands-on activities.
