Conker Class - Term 2
In science, we have been learning about animals including humans and last week was all about animal diets. We watched a video about different animals and whether their diet means they are a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore before putting this knowledge into practice by sorting out animal cards into their dietary groups.

Last Friday, the class took part in a live author event hosted by Scholastic. It was a story time and draw-along with Alice Hemming and Nicola Slater, the author and illustrator of 'The Snow Thief', finished off with a Q+A session at the end. The children had a wonderful time taking part and their drawings of the squirrel from the story looked fantastic!

Last week, we started learning about what a sentence is made up of. The first thing we learned was that a subject is needed to know who or what the sentence is about. After that, we then were given a jumbled group of words to order to make a sentence and we identified the subject in it.
Conker class had a brilliant time getting out in the snow last Tuesday! After watching it falling all day, we just couldn't resist taking some time out of afternoon lessons to have some fun and make the most of the snow!

Last week (commencing 11th Nov) we were learning to control a ball in PE through rolling and dribbling, using our hands as well as our feet. It was lovely to get out in the sun too!

We have had a fantastic first week back in Conker Class! We started the term off learning about addition fact families, which is a set of math facts that use the same three numbers to show the relationship between them. Miss Muskett and Mrs Bridge have been very impressed with how well everyone did!
